 Coaches work with their and others' children to have fun playing soccer in Flagstaff's cool summer at an elevation of 7000'. | | AYSO provides several good courses for coaches, covering a knowledge of the rules, how to teach kids soccer effectively, and soccer games to use in practice. |
| Certification as Coach in AYSO: AYSO provides courses for its coaches to become certified at the age level of the players they coach. Our local AYSO region (Region 257) will pay any costs for registration and required manuals if you car pool and successfully earn your certification in any of these courses. The current schedule is: | ||
| U8, U10 Coach: August 15, from 8:30-11:30 am at Kuebler Field in Prescott. Contact AYSO in Flagstaff at 773-1222. NOTE: You may certify online with AYSO. U12 Coach: August 22, from 1-6 pm at Kuebler Field in Prescott. Contact AYSO in Flagstaff at 773-1222. | ||

| Certification: AYSO online courses for Safe Haven, U8 Coach, & U10 Coach. You will need your AYSO national coach number that you get after turning in the completed Volunteer Application Form that is required every year. | |||
| Coaching Tapes: AYSO donated a number of video tapes on soccer instruction to the city. These tapes are available for loan from the Flagstaff Public Library. | ||
| Soccer Camps for Players: AYSO Soccer Camps will offer a half-day soccer camp during the week of June 29. |
